Montague House closed Tuesday, January 28

As you all may know, the WMU-AAUP office closes for severe weather when WMU does, including today (Monday, January 27).

However, with the horrendous condition of the roads and the additional snow and dangerous wind chills that are expected for the next 24 hours or so, we don’t want Susan and Lori risking their lives to get to the office tomorrow morning. While WMU hasn’t called it (yet?), out of concern for the safety of our staff, we’re calling it now: Montague House will be closed on Tuesday, January 28.

As always, we will be at your service and only an email away. Stay safe, everyone!

Clarification/Update (11:30 p.m. on Monday):

If the university is open on Tuesday, Chapter president Lisa Minnick will keep her regular Tuesday office hours (1-4 p.m.) at Montague House. If you have an appointment or meeting scheduled with Lisa, or with any of the officers, it will go on as planned if the university is open, unless you contact them (preferably via email) to let them know if you are unable to attend. The “closure” of Montague House, in the event that the university does not close, is out of consideration for the safety of the office staff.
